AMRA Gallery Assistant Job Description
Organizational Overview:
NACDI is a non-profit community development \ organization working specifically with the American Indian community in the areas of community and economic development, planning, training and education, research, and technical assistance.
All My Relations Arts is an initiative of NACDI and serves as an arts program and gallery space. AMRA provides both American Indian and non-Indian audiences broad access to quality American Indian art. We offer arts education programming, community events, and quarterly exhibitions.
Job Summary: The Gallery Assistant is responsible for customer service to gallery visitors and assisting with AMRA’s exhibition programming. This work includes gallery duties associated with planning and preparing AMRA’s yearly exhibition calendar, connected programming and gallery operations. The gallery assistant will help maintain mailing lists, guest books, and other administrative work. The position also includes opportunities for hands-on exhibitions work such as artist applications, artwork intake, and exhibition installation as well as maintaining the protection, cleanliness, and appearance of the artwork. The Gallery Assistant will engage with visitors and guide tour groups.
