Mni Art Wall Presents Sing Our Rivers Red Traveling Earring Exhibition

Sing Our Rivers Red Traveling Earring Exhibition:
Raising Awareness of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women

Sing Our Rivers Red events recognize that each of us has a voice to not only speak out about the injustices against our sisters, but also use the strength of those voices to sing for our healing. Water is the source of life and so are women.
In collaboration with SORR and in the honor of the missing and murdered Indigenous women, All My Relations Gallery is hosting The Traveling Earring Exhibition on April 17th, 2015 from 6-8pm. Over 3,406 earrings were donated from over 400 people, organizations and entities from 6 provinces in Canada and 45 states in the United States.
The Traveling Earring Exhibition will be on view on our Mni Art Wall for 4 weeks. Along with the Earring Exhibition, we are showing an informational documentary and having an in memory ribbon tying tree ceremony.
Everyday many of our community members see the tree in front of our building on Franklin Avenue. This is an ideal way to show respect to families and to raise awareness of this pressing issue that also affects the Indigenous women in Minnesota.
